Voltage converter
    #12807676 -

Hey all-

I just bought a volcano vaporizer on ebay for super cheap but its european. I need a voltage converter to the specifications of the VT500 model on this website:

http://www.voltage-converter-transformers.com/step-up-down-transformer.html

Before I order it, do you guys know/think any place would sell something like that locally? Just so I don't have to wait another week to fire this bad boy up.

Can't you just get an adapter for the tip?  They sell them at Best Buy.

No I think it runs on 220v and USA is good ole 110. So I'm pretty sure I need a transformer but I'm not positive. The last thing I want to do is set off the least impressive 300 dollar firework ever made.

  Point taken.  Electricity isn't my strong point.  I know you can do it if you're going USA to EU but I guess that's cuz it's going lower to higher.

hahaha...

the one you linked to probably isnt of sufficient wattage to use,
anything with a heating element will use more than 600 watts, to be
safe look into something in the 1200 watt range

or make a cord that can be used on one of the 240v lines in your house,
driers and stoves tend to be the only one in the us

If Tesla can't help me I'm screwed. Its funny to smoke a blunt in a room with a volcano in it unplugged in the center.

Thanks Prisoner, I will upgrade to a higher wattage model. That 500 W is the one the website recommended when I emailed them, but they seemed like a pack of idiots. I'm real glad I decided to present this here.

The specifications in the manual say the output totals to about 150 W. Again I'm clueless about electricity. You still think I will need that many watts?

if you overload it you'd cook the transformer in the converter, it's far better to have more than you need which is why I suggested the 1200 watts
