Spiral Dynamics (minus the rockets and/or alien folk, plus some theory)
    #12703882 -

Spiral Dynamics (Wiki) "argues that human nature is not fixed: humans are able, when forced by life conditions, to adapt to their environment by constructing new, more complex, conceptual models of the world that allow them to handle the new problems."

This sounds well and good, and probably true, but the only new addition with this theory (initially a book) that sets it apart from some other psychological accounts of novelty and human adaptation is the inclusion of ongoing, incorporated complexification (something Saint McKenna loved to rave about).

It is said that each new model both includes and transcends all previous models. To my mind, this makes it fractal as well.

I just found it fascinating that I discovered this after hearing about the neon blue spiral above Australia. Such a tame and well-behaved rocket; mommy rocket would be impressed at the symmetry. Funny how fucking up in this case nevertheless means displaying beautiful patterns. Hmm, might you suppose we can extrapolate this and see a parallel in human behavior: that all of this impending "doom and gloom" eschatological business is just another brick in the wall, a new curve on the spiral?

I'm heading there soon enough. I've been busy as hell and multi-tasking. I wanted to get this out before I forgot about it. Plus the word spiral is in the terminology, how heady is that brosef?

I just saw where Silversoul beat me to it here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/10595430

But he didn't make a developmental comparison to the blue spiral events, so the metaphor and analogy still stands.

so what I got out of this thread was many hours of youtubing, beginning at an inspection of sky spirals.
The most recent event was over my land but I did not see it.
I don't really buy the 'rocket' answer. If it was a rocket it should be pretty clear. After all they would know the exact location of the rocket and they know what a rocket looks like... so they would be able to easily say 'that is a rocket' for sure.
But it seems they cant say it for sure, its just the most believable theory. Ie. Since when to rockets leave such strange patterns so far away? If it wasnt that far away, then what was the rocket doing over australia?
althought thre recent spiral was not the same as the perfect spiral from some months ago, it still puzzles me.

If it was a rocket then just say it is a rocket and say that the people 'thought' it was a UFO. Dont just show lots of people's opinions, one of whom says its a rocket.

Gee, you have something in common with this member.

so if its a parlour trick its not an easy one.
Anthony Robbins started his phenomenal climb by "teaching" tens of thousands to do this in America's backyards in a few hours time. Apparently he only taught highly-trained monks or people with pre-existing abilities to warp physical laws.

From a Swami thread:
Swami said:
Hundreds of thousands of Americans have paid good money (Tony Robbins and others) to firewalk and have been "taught" to believe that walking on coals unharmed is due to a mental shift. Do you sincerely believe that everybody can "learn" these "amazing" powers in an hour by simply thinking cool thoughts?

Why can't this same "mental shift" be applied to walking on water or standing on hot coals?

would love to see the pictures of your feet afterwards

You would love to see me harmed (a most spiritual thought) or am I misinterpreting your intent?

Nice wriggle.

Your discussions about Antony Robbins have been a while.  It used to be a theme.  What happened?  Was the interest lost because he is out of date?

Riiight.  You and Swami are the only ones saying I need some help, a common theme of his for years.  He has been "predicting" my "meltdown" nearly since he knew I was back. Yet, the two of you are different people.  And oddly enough, only you, MutantBobono, Evolving and him wanted to drag me off into superfluous bullshit regarding my character.

Play your games, man.  You're only making yourself look ill.

Let it go.

I can't fight delusion with reason, so think what you want. Just don't cross quote all the evil little puppets that are out to get you.

I didn't say anything bad about Anthony Robbins. I really don't know much about him. He was on the movie shallow hal.

:confused2:  You and OC are saying the same thing, i.e. I am afraid someone is out to get me.  Yet I've never indicated anyone was trying to get me.  And you say the same thing he does.

Why is that?
