Background info: Have smoked on and off the last 2 years. Have always had particularly strong reactions to cannabis.
I’m sitting on my porch in almost complete darkness, it’s a calm night with the stars shining bright and a few clouds visible. I have a full bowl of weed packed and ready to go on the porch table. In between sipping on a beer I take a few hits in this peaceful setting. It has been about a week since I smoked last, after close to a month of making it a daily habit. I knew after this much needed tolerance break I would get hit with full force. I become so absorbed gazing into the stars and start to mentally connect the dots to create rudimentary images. In particular, I am able to see the starts form a question mark and some basic geometric shapes. I finish off the bowl, and am prepared to be stoned out of my mind, but the following hours are unexpectedly intense.
As I am stargazing I start to feel a body high coming on pretty quickly. My jaw literally drops as I become completely relax and have the sensation that I am sinking into the chair. It starts to appear as if the stars slightly move whenever I focus on one. I shrug it off in disbelief and go inside to talk to my brother. I can barely string together coherent sentences as I talk to him, and I quickly realize while talking to him that I am the absolute highest I have ever been. I go back outside and begin to stargaze again. I immediately start to feel a strong body high come on again, and as I stare at the night sky in a daze, a cloud starts to slowly morph. I watch it as the edges appear to have tadpole like tales that are lined up next to each other and all move in unison. It was as if all these little tails were dancing in synchronization. I’m a little overwhelmed and try to shake it off in disbelief. I definitely wasn’t expecting to get to this point off of a single bowl, or even any amount of weed. Could you even get this high from smoking? I had no clue it was even close to being possible. I have been incredibly high in the past and have had moderately strong CEVs and visualizations, but nothing close to the OEVs I am experiencing.
I am absolutely stunned that I am being submerged in a completely psychedelic world from weed alone. I begin to get a little anxious out of disbelief and have trouble really letting go and enjoying the hallucinations. I go back staring into the sky and can’t believe what happens next. Everything literally begins to fade to grey. Once everything is completely grayscale, an intense radiant navy blue takes over my whole vision. I am still in shock that I am having full blown hallucinations; I’m not expecting it at all and am in complete awe. A plane appears in the distance, slowly gliding across my field of vision. Everything is still completely submerged blue and out of the corner of my eye the plane looks huge and it almost seems as a 3d cartoon type image. Whenever I look at it, it reverts back to the small speck of light that it really is. I try to shake it off, and start to become very uncomfortable with the fact that I am reacting this strongly. The sky takes a sudden change from blue to a fiery red in almost an instant. I start to become overwhelmed with negativity and paranoia, and I feel like I’ve entered some sort of hell. To avoid getting too anxious I decide to go converse with my brother.
I go back inside to talk to my brother and try to explain what’s going on but like before I am confused and struggle to put together a coherent sentence. I tell him everything outside turned demonic, and I begin to ask myself if I am having some sort of psychotic breakdown. I come to the conclusion that I’m just going to have to enjoy the ride and once I begin talking to my brother I start to feel relief, even though I am still hallucinating quite strongly. Everything is surrounded by a sort of aural light, almost as if I can see energy radiating off of objects. His face looks very clay-like and cartoony a d begins to morph, and one point it completely warps into what looks like Stalin’s face. At another instance it is almost as I can see through his skin (his skull is almost completely visible) and it is as if just for a few seconds I have X-ray vision. I am still in complete awe that I am actually having this experience. How can this be happening? I go upstairs with my brother to put on some good relaxing music and to talk for a while. Colors begin to change once again (but not as intensely as before), everything becomes submerged in transparent dancing green objects. My imagination is going absolutely wild and I am left with extremely creative visualizations. At one instance the walls start to breathe and sizzle, and the room starts to fade into an orange hue. I jokingly begin to visualize being a snake in this desert and I can vividly see cartoonish images of this happening. Shortly after I am struck with such an intense euphoria that leaves me in some sort of bodily orgasm, I am almost twitching in pleasure for a few minutes. At this point (about 30 minutes in to the high) the hallucinations are less dramatic and more transparent in nature; it is almost as if my imagination is projected in front of me, in a kind of opaque way. Its hard to describe but the best way to put it would be extremely lucid visualizations that are projected extremely clearly in my mind. I guess these wouldn’t be full blown hallucinations any more but more just very wild flights of fantasy that are pictured in my mind’s eye (if that makes any sense). It is kind of blurring the boundary of being an OEV, but almost as intense as the previous hallucinations. I am absolutely amazed how clearly I can picture absolutely anything that comes to mind and begin to have a lot of fun with it
The next few hours I am left in a contemplative, philosophical state; thoughts of the universe, life, death, and everything in between. I feel an extreme connection to nature and some sort of universal consciousness that transcends time and space. I felt like being in this ‘different dimension’ gave me access to this consciousness. I felt like I was on another plain of existence, and completely disconnected from everyday life. I feel like my whole outlook on life and death may be changed forever in a matter of hours of discussion. I probably have the most intellectual discussions in my life with my brother as I am coming down (somewhat). The hallucinations subside but I am still in an incredibly altered state of mind of the next 5 hours or so. I wake up the next morning still feeling (throughout the day) like my thought patterns are different, still feeling extremely contemplative and disconnected. I have no clue how an experience like this could have come about, but it was incredibly intense. I feel like my days of smoking socially are definitely over, and I am still trying to grasp what happened. I highly doubt it was laced, as the person who I bought from uses it daily and reacts normally. I already know I am going to get a lot of skeptical responses, “you can’t trip from weed” and so forth. I just thought I would put my experience out there and see if there is anyone else who can relate to this. I’m very curious to know what everyone’s take is on this
