Do you know which wheel it's coming from? if not jack it up and spin the wheels and see what you hear.

On my BMW the rear left squeaked when it went out and the right grinded, and the front left one squeaked. How many miles does it have on them? Your car has the same kind of bearings mine does in the back, i remember checking that, and on the E36 BMW it's pretty consistent that they go out between 150-200k.

If it's not your brakes there's not much else that spins around that would make constant noise like that.

it's not suspension related?

if it is, it might be a bushing that is completely warn out but that would tend to only make noise when you're stressing the suspension, stopping, taking off or turning. Everything you describe tells me something is making that wheel not like to spin.

damn.....so maybe the mechanic had it wrong...

How much do you think it would cost to get the bushings replaced at a mechanic? Ballpark?

I don't have a car jack, and don't know shit about cars. MIDAS told me they thought they were bushings too, but they already screwed me into thinking the rotors needed replacing......so I lost all trust with them

BTW, thanks for your help !

It's always bad when you're a young guy with a European car at an auto shop. Probably around 500 bucks parts and labor to replace them all. Still sounds like the wheel bearings though.

haha....sorry I meant to say bushings instead of bearings- was in a rush when I typed up that post.. I'm guessing around $500 still....

Debating whether I should continue putting money into the rolling money pit(won't be long before something else fails)- sell it, and throw down on a new toyota with 0 APR financing deals. I've seen my father spend FAR too much money on old mercedes....and slowly skullfuck himself over time.
