Question for the mods...

How do i go about reporting ratings that were falsely given? I read the TOS about the ratings and it states:

"You agree that you will not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, etc.."

As you can see by looking at my most recent rating, I was given 1 shroom. I'm totally fine with that because I probably deserved it. However, that person is totally lying and I'm surprised they would say something like that. I've never said anything of the kind and in fact, i've never even seen this person on here before. So I am a victim of "false and defamatory, inaccurate" ratings. For the most part, I really wouldn't even care if someone made up something, but what that person left is totally untrue and defaming.

I'm not asking for the rating to be deleted, but at least put the TRUE reason I was given 1 shroom.

The strict rules about ratings only really apply to trade ratings. General ratings aren't held to those standards because they are just personal opinion. Pretty much anything goes, provided it isn't a death-threat or something else clearly illegal.

Well you are the mod and I'm assuming you know what you're talking about. Although I think i might have to contest your point. Let me show you a screen shot of the rating page along with the rules of use posted above them:



As you can see, it clearly states above the general rating text box:

You agree that you will not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, excessively vulgar or obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

- THIS is what I am a victim of....



And you can see here under the Trade rating text box it states:

Trade ratings should be used only to describe your transaction experience.
Trade ratings should only be left once a transaction has occured.
Trade ratings should be based on an actual trade.

With all respect, I don't see how those two could be confused. I think it clearly shows the point I'm trying to make. Would you care to elaborate your point?

That's not true. I've seen them remove many rates dealing with narcs.

Okay I guess I'll have to do that. Is there any certain admin you guys would recommend? Obviously Trendal doesn't want to help and thats fine. I'm sure there are admins who actually care...

it's not like you get to pick and choose which admin you get... it's a support ticket system, they code tickets on their own accord.

You might get a faster response if you use the support ticket...mods and admin get their PM boxes flooded with dozens and dozens of PMs every day and yours might be overlooked.

There's nothing I could do about it anyway, other than tell you to check with an admin :smirk:

The thing is that I don't even know the guy. I don't know why he would do something like that out of nowhere. I was surprised when I saw that. =/
