No chat rooms in the new bnet

Advertising/marketplace introduced in the new BNET model, meaning you might have to pay for some maps/features

No custom game names

Facebook integration (rofl)

Region locked meaning US East/US west/Asia/Europe server selections have been removed, you have to buy a completely new copy of SC2 to play with people from a different region (seriously)

LAN play removed

You have to connect to bnet to play single player, if bnet is down you can't play single player.

Bnet 2.0 sucks monkey balls all around. The same people who designed Xbox live designed Bnet 2.0.

Fuck Activision Blizzard.

youve hit the nail pretty much on the head there bud.

excuse my french but WHY THE FUCK arent they putting in chat rooms. their already putting on the facebook add bullcrap - which is obviously aimed at creating a social aspect to the game. chat rooms are ridiculously easy to create, and cost barely anything at all to maintain. they will add such a great aspect to the game - one that all previous blizzard games have had. i dont understand it and it pisses me off badly.

if they start making it a pay to play game like world of warcraft, im going to declare jihad on blizzard. you think its funny, but ill fuck their shit up man if they do that ! dont make me do that blizzard !

region locking is again...retarded. in the interview they said they 'want to provide the best possible gaming experience in terms of latency' so they lock similar areas together. first of all if a gamer chooses to play against a player from another region of the world that is their choice, and they will knowingly suffer the increased lag times - which really arent that bad - happily. again it is a retarded and non sensical decision to limit the aspects of the game in this way when it is next to costless to fix and implement??!

lan play removed spells big trouble for WCG and other big events involving sc2.

having to activate the game online to play the single player is again a fucking retarded option, not everyone has the internet (though most do). im sure they are just doing this to combat piracy etc etc but still.


WHOEVER HAS MADE THESE DECISIONS AT BLIZZARD IS MENTALLY HANDICAPPED AT BEST AND SHOULD RESIGN IMMEDIATELY.
