quick Sclerotia crash course

kinda new to Sclerotia
accually i know nothing about them and a search yielded few results

if im correct Sclerotia is a stone producing mushroom

like atl#7 ???

Sclerotia isn't a species. Sclerotia is an underground fruitbody (eg truffles), like mushrooms are an aboveground fruitbody, produced by some species and varieties of fungi. Atl#7 & P. Mexicana are sclerotia producing species.

I'd second Doc T's recommendation to read the thread 'Easier than Cubes', its where I first found out about sclerotia.

sounds like a good time

now to find some prints of these 4 Sclerotia producing mushrooms
to bad i have nothing to trade for a month , except for some thai mystery prints

No, you can clone them from the sclerotia using agar though. I think what Doc T meant was that you get much the same effect from the sclerotia as from the fruits, so there's no need to fruit.

yes JokeFox, You can Fruit them from the stones.
You just need take take a large peice of Sclerotia and Case it..
And then proceed as you would with most other mushrooms.

im just confused on one thing

so you grow the mycelium and it creates stones

then you pick the stone

then you case a stone to get it to fruit

is that rigght

Pick the big stones, case the spawn and little stones. Then you get fruits + more stones.

your growing stones in spawn
so you pick the big stones
then use spawn as you would normaly
