Movies getting shittier (and films that deny the trend)
    #12485805 -

I Refuse to watch avatar :gc:

and i own it

haven't seen most new flicks

Of all the dam new movies i have seen, i saw "valentines Day"

and its a sad day when the romantic comedys are more interesting than the latest action movie or gangster flick these days

call me a fuckin faggot but taylor swift really surprised me with her acting ability in this one

i also saw Public enemies

with johnny depp

it was alrite

and that new Mel Gibson Drama

i forget the name

It was pretty bad tho

Action-wise it had some kickass parts

but it was really bad acting IMO

Iron Man 2 Looks like its gonna be a shitty over-glossed Hollywood flick that will pale in comparison to the first one

only thing im lookin forward to is my wifey as a red head (Scarlett)
:drool2:

anyways one movie that DID look like it was gonna be good was "Brothers"

did anyone see it?  (i haven't)

was it good?

did it defy the latest trend in hollywood of putting out shitty films?

If not (or even if so) what movies have, in your opinion??

"The Island" wasn't too bad honestly

This is part of what's driving 3d.

The movie sucks "but its 3d!!!"  pay even more to see it.

Movies are definitely getting shittier, honestly I can't think of one good movie that has come out within the past couple of years that has made me go "Wow, this is a truly original, amazing, thought provoking work of art!".  I mean Avatar had good effects and all but it still had that commercial-whore Hollywood feel to it.

All avatar did was jack every single story from Studio Ghibli and repackage it into one terrible movie with worthless effects.

i dont think there are very many good films from the major studios anymore.

however, the indie scene is awesome. recent films that were just fucking awesome include: Triangle, The Square, Looking For Eric, Art of the Steal, and Hard Candy.. just to name a few.

the only recent studio film that i really really loved was Fantastic Mr Fox. i think you might need to really like Wes Anderson to appreciate it though..

How To Train Your Dragon is supposed to be really good too although i have not seen it yet.

this thread made lol

yehh movies are gay now.

the last real great movie... was fucking matrix or lodr one... but that's only because of their crazy production... and it was the coming advent of 3d that was coming to us, that made them so great.

Holy shit Fantastic Mr. Fox looks really good, even though i thinkt he character design is uninspired/lacking.

I like how the voice acting is terrible but not annoying, it's like nonchalant.

I hate television and movies.

So so stupid and pointless. Most of the time not even worth watching.

:mad2:

That's weak dude. House is awesome... I like Fringe... Dr. Who! Come on man? not even South Park? I guess I really was raised by a tube.

That's probably why I'm so weird, too. LOL
