1963-CIA recruits Iraqi Baath Party (including a young Saddam Hussein) to assasinate the new leader, Abdul-Karim Kassem. After the coup, the CIA gave the Baath a long list of communists and others to liquidate. During the 1980s the CIA would go on to help provide weapons to both Iraq and Iran in a war that would kill over one million people.

Due limitations of space I have not included the U.S. support of Israeli acts of terror against Palestinians, the atomic bombing of 200,000 civilians in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the numerous other U.S. invasions south of the Rio Grande, the invasion of Grenada ,the 19th century war of terror against U.S. indigenous peoples or the 200 years of slave trade.

So fuckin what. 200,000 people is nothing to what would have been lost if we didn't. Besides if it was not us it would have been germans. It is that simple! And if we but Saddam in power than I figure that gives us all the right we need to take him out. period.

You all have some kind of French attitude or something. Fine, but France would not exist today if it wasn't for the American attitude.

Once again, if America all of a sudden ceased to exist, would the world be a better place. What you think that the rest of the world would just all of a sudden live in harmony with eachother? Fuck no! War would be the first thing as countries jockied for the vacant top dog position.

In the end politics is about violence and there will always be politics.

I'm not at all saying we are innocent but who is? And if you are you own your existance to someone who did some dirty work. IMHO

well I love to read and the US has a really bad record!!
anyway I am not happy with my government in Canada to
but thats for them fucking me over(free trade www.corpwatch.org)
not for killing soooooooooooooo many people
but they did support what happened in East Timor as did the US
in a MUCH bigger way!!!Cash

Not only USA was late on both world wars, but USA takes the merit for them?!

WWII was ended with the dropping of the atomic bomb. Goood bad or ugly, if it wasn't us it would have been someone else. The US beat the rest of the world to it is all, and not by much. Someone was going to drop it and I would rather it was us on them then them on us. It was not untill the world observed the horror of the bomb that the world decided that it must never happen again.

however the soviets loss of 32 million lives against germany DID play a huge role without those people that died fighting the german army(and some not) I dont know if a bomb on japan would have been enough

Good point. It appears that having been late for the last two world wars america wants to make up for it by being really punctual for the third.

Lets not forget my favorite...

CIA launched a missile that killed three men in the Afghanistan desert. A father and his two sons were killed while searching for scrap metal that they could use to make jewlery out of to be sold in a local market when CIA spy plains spotted them and decided that the man "was tall enough possibly be Usama Bin Laden".

No appology had been made by any American government for the needless killing of three innocent people to their families nor to the American people for the more than $300,000 price tag that the one failed mission cost...

True story, I have no link because this is an old one but I have posted this here before.. They bombed the guy because he was tall and they admitted to it...

Taking on the unarmed and helpless with F-16's seems to be quite a hobby these days. In Iraq there's been several cases of them bombing old goatherders in open valleys with nothing else visible for miles.
