He like webbed the jar cap so when I took it off he could climb out.

Brown recluses are the most venomous species in the US. There are also a lot of other types of spiders that look like them. Are you sure you have an actual brown recluse? Can you get pics? Without some formal training on handling venomous spiders, you should not keep it. That's playing with fire.

I've kept venomous snakes before, but I was trained by the county's naturalist/herpetologist on how to handle them. I still got a little nervous when I had to clean the tank.

All that said, brown recluses live just about anywhere that has a good hiding spot.

Dead sure it's a brown recluse, I've been studying them just in case I ever ran across one, I've actually run into about 3 this year so far, this one was in my house so I caught him.

I knowingly and willingly put myself at risk like this all the time I actually had a water moccasin at one time myself. Saved it's life, it was all tangled up in some mesh wire, then made sure it was healthy enough to be released back into the wilderbush.

Haha this exact thing happened to me, i had it in a jar with holes in the lid, thousands of black widow babies were crawling all over my wall and roof in my room, my mom was pissed.

I wanna keep a rattlesnake as a pet, milk its venom, put little sewing needles in the poison and let the poison dry onto them, then when someone pisses you off, you just stick em with a little poison needle.

Did you see the pictures where peoples hand and arm turned into what most resembles a plate of macaroni? Gas that fucker and don't catch another.

Tap a hole in the lid, inject 1 cc of ether, tape shut.

If you release it it will come out with the web as you remove the lid, bite your hand and you get to gross us all out with a day-to-day pictorial of your misadventure.

Confront your fears with a tarantula. Their bite hurts but they won't have to amputate fingers if you mess up.

Good advice. Tarantulas are much more entertaining than a brown recluse. You can hold them too. Go for one a Mexican red knee tarantula. They're generally not very aggressive and they have awesome colors:

Yea i know a kid here in Az who got bit by a recluse on the ass, had a huge circle chunk of hiss ass rot, he was pretty young so now he is traumatized by spiders.
