I'm just guessing here, but I would think that type of setup would result in lower humidity.

Yeah Vorpal, I'd agree, plus your'e leaving your chamber open to ambient air(spores,pollen,molds,etc) just fanning once a day in a 'closed' environment has worked for me.

I am just trying to come up with a easy solution to the gas build up probem. I know you can use air pumps, but they are to loud. Any other suggestions or comments would be great. Thanks
