LC gas exchange filter, valve & injection port. 1

Prototype LC lid.

Off/on valve to isolate the 0.002 micron air filter. Serum type injection/aspiration port. Will PC.
You can close valve, turn jar upside down & shake it. The filter does NOT get WET. Then stand jar upright & open valve for ambient gas exchange.
Just goes to show you - where there is a will. There is a way.

Cool idea, bro. I got two questions though- How much did these supplies generally cost? Where did you find them?
I also heard through the grapevine that you may be opening a store up... these gonna be in it? Sivad

It took me about a year to find the pieces, to make it work. The luer lock valve mount came from the good old USA, the valve came from Taiwan, the filter from Japan, the injection/aspiration port from Germany. Unless you buy the pieces in lots of 1000+, all individual pieces are rather spendy, except the lid.
As a cost saving measure, production models will have a far less expensive injection/aspiration port, that is as effective as the more expensive prototype model.
 Prototype port.
Probable production model port (red septa plug)
Sometime in the not to distant future an on-line store will open (& become a sponsor here) that will carry several unique mycology products, at reasonable prices.
Which will include: MYCO-NITRO substrate bricks.
Zip Lock type autoclave bags, w/filter
3000 ml 3 port LC bags
And, the type LC lids in this post.
I developed the products & will supply the store with them. But, I will not be running the store. (I don't need or want a JOB) But, will watch over it, to insure no snafu's occur.

Everyone knows Agar is an independently wealthy inventor! Just look at all the cool things he comes up with for us!
I too am eagerly awaiting the opening of a store that stocks his inventions.

Old agar was in the right place, at the right time, had the foresight to recognize some lucrative things that could be acquired for nominal amounts (compared to their actual worth), then exploited them into profitability, then sold out, while retaining shareholder & royalty interests, repeat same repeatedly, etc. Invest profits wisely in long term real estate & retire early
