Does this horse farm look like it will grow cinctulus in Massachusetts?

OK, so I went and looked last week and didn't see anything and snapped some pics on my phone because i'm skeptical if this farm is capable of growing cinctulus. I haven't gone to look lately because I feel like im wasting my time. Well I have yet to pick and active mushrooms yet and i'm not shore if this farm is capable so please tell me what you think. The first and second pic is just a picture of what I thinkkk is a horse manure pile, is it? And the 3rd pic is just a pic of horse manure in the field. This is a horse field btw so I would think they would grow, just wanna know if it's legit. THANKS!

the second picture looks ok from what I can see from the picture.

Do you have a rake and a tarp?

Yeah but the thing is it isn't my farm hhaha. The first picture is a close-up of the second one in case you didn't know. Why do I need a rake and a tarp though, what do you suggest I do if it was my farm?? I thought it was easy, like they just grew there in the right temps and I didn't have to fuck around with the pile at all.

oh..I didn't read that part. I thought it was your farm. Plus you are in a zone 5 maybe zone 6 area so imo chances are not that good this time of year. Now of course if you took some spawn and put it in the mix and put a tarp over it in the right weather you would have "a feild day" but untill it rains like hell then sun beats down not to much goes on.

It's been very hot around here lately (80's) with little rain, but tomoro night it's supposed to pour and then be 80 again the next day so I figure I'll check that morning. But every time I look there's NOTHING. I have not see any type of mushroom on it so I'm worried that it's bad manure or something. But from what your saying is that it IS capable of growing p subbs in this pile, but only with the right temps? Thanks again man.

ohh I could be very wrong I'm not going to bs you. I have seen alot come from hpoo on the ground but never by itself. I'm in the midwest so around may/june alot of people hit the farms with tarps ect...they wait for a good rain and then put a tarp over the pile of hpoo for a few and then let the warm weather hit and when they remove the tarp you have mush. I have yet to walk in a feild and see it just itting there :sad:

Alright man thanks. Could I just take like a trashbag full of that pile, put it in a spot with good sunlight near my home, make some spawn and put it on it, then hope for subbs? Would that work? Or could I just put it down, throw a tarp over it, then wake a week? Or does the spot need to have manure on it for a long time for some reason? Thanks

i have only seen first hand on farms. I would look under outdoor grows in the search forum on this site. see what you can find. im sure if you hade a quart or 2 of spawn to add in the pile and put a tarp over it to help colonize things would work better. lt me know how things go.

Alright dude I will. This is gunna be my little project for the next couple weeks. Could you also tell me what the tastiest possible way of making spawn is? I really don't wanna have to buy it... And Googling it doesn't help..
