Moe rules!
Say, do you have any old school (or new school) ways of dealing with insects? I have heard other folks' suggestions with regard to this (sprinkling pepper, etc) but I wanted to know what, if anything the master uses Any wisdom in this area is much apreciated. Thanks moe, for idiot-proofing (mostly) outdoor growing for the masses

well im a vegetarian, maybe i can use my poo. hey even better, ill eat only stuff thats great for mycellium like rye grain for like 2 weeks and save up my shit and trade it in the spore exchange. can you mail human feces?

There's a small experiment going on near where I live, or so I've heard, that involves two holes set up pretty much exactly as Moe did, only they used straw instead of hay and weathered horse manure picked from the pasture. No rain or humidity to speak of, but there's a hose nearby. The temps are mid-40's at night, low-80's in the day. Should know in a few weeks how it worked.

Also, in conjunction with this, three flower pot teks were started using organic cow manure from a bag. The remaining colonized substrate was crumbled with fresh, unpasturized organic cow manure and placed back in the rubbermaid container that came with the kit - just to see what happens. Results to be promulgated as they occur....

Hey there,

Moe ya' ho....Juan has been killing so much mycelium inside that Juan has/is trying your teks in a variety of ways. Juan has holes that are dug then filled with horse dookie, straw, cakes of all kinds (a lot of cakes ...like seven colonized..some more fully inside the cake than others but all fully on the surface...none with any shrooms produced yet...several varieties). Juan seems to kill the mycelium almost as fast outside as inside but Juan has had one small good one pop up on a piece of cake just laying in the dirt...Juan ate that and it was surprisingly potent for one small shroom....heheh . Juan has two pints of T3 on rye berries in a pot with straw on the bottom, dookie and verm mixed up with the colonized rye berries and straw on top....hope it overcomes the kill factor . Juan even has a large wide plastic pot with horse dookie pellets that had some old naturally occuring shrooms on the pellets that were dry but came back after he wet the entire thing...he took the old caps and smeared them into the pellets and shot a couple of full syringes of F+ onto them and threw some straw back on top just for drill..nothing special..nothing fancy...just sprayed the syringes on the dookie. Juan will let you know if something shows or it all just freaking croaks like it has been doing...Juan is hell on that mycelium .
