But what about felons who were convicted of violent crimes? Like you said, everybody needs to make a living--felons convicted for violent crimes are no different in this regard, and it's more likely that they will commit a violent crime as a result of being unemployed than it is for non-violent felons to do the same; I think it makes at least some sense to allow felons (both violent offenders and non-violent offenders) to have a fair chance in securing employment because it could potentially reduce crime rates.


If they steal from, or commit any other crime against their employer, then they'll get arrested just like any non-felon would.
