That's why I only deal with cash/western union for selling wow accounts. Total protection. Too many goddamn scammers out there. Paypal is the wow account sellers worst enemy.

one of the big reasons i miss the game is because i met a lot of really cool interesting people on it... now every one of those friendships have faded away, but while i played, it was nice to have cool nice people to talk to... kinda like the shroomery

Yeah that was my problem. I was ignorant of the how paypal operates and thought it was final once it went through. I found out real fast that paypal sucks.

I have been trying to get a hold of blizzard for weeks about my account. Every time I call it says they can't help me because they have to many callers. WTF is that shit? Every 2-3 weeks I get emails saying that my password has been changed and that my email is changed. I have no clue how these hackers are doing it. They don't have the password or my security question.

I just want my account to be left alone and unplayed. I bet I have nothing on my characters and even my gear has been striped.

Blizzard support sucks.

Blizzard support is actually really fucking good. But if like in your position if you have a bunch of different people calling in on your account, they will lock it until you send them proof that it is your account (they have you fax in your ID). And you have to go through a couple extra steps to get your account back, but once you have it back and change all the info no one else should be able to call in on it. I can't say anything bad about blizzard support... they've always been golden to me. Even when my accounts have been hacked, I call them and have it back within 10 mins. I got hacked several times back in the day, and came back with no items, gold etc, and had it all restored within a day or two.

I've had that happen once the first time I tried to sell my account (through paypal).. the guy backcharged it, and locked me out of the account. He was a dumbass though because I got it back. NEVER deal with paypal to sell intangible items, especially video game toons, unless you know for sure you can trust the person AND you have all their info... cash/western union/money order or GTFO. 99.99% of wow scammers use paypal.

Around 160 days played I sold my rogue... (the game had only been out for a year and a half or so then) made about 600$...
My gear should've only warranted 300$ or so but my name had weight on the server (first horde 60 and some other random useless shit :lol:)

I have been through that 3 times in the past. I don't have a clue how these guys are getting my account. I don't even play it. No one knows my passwords or anything.

I keep not downloading the game because every time I get it back they ban my account until I will pay for fraudulent charges that were used to pay for the time to play. They know it wasn't even me, but yet they tell me that it's still my problem. They didn't make me pay to re transfer my characters back to the realms they belong to tho.

I am at a loss. how can they possibly be getting my account? Blizzard can't just not give them the account info when they call for some reason. I have no idea how they keep doing it.

I'm on hold with blizzard now. It said it will be 45 minutes on hold but I will wait. I
m going to tell them wtf is going on, and that they either need to fix the problem for good, or just ban my account permanently.

The only way they could keep accessing your account like is if:
They knew your secret question answer or had access to your email and had all your account info.
I'd change all your passwords. Also have you scanned your computer for viruses and shit? You could possibly have a trojan, that's how they used to phish account info.

I just called them and they said they haven't sent a email to me since 08'. I guess the emails I was getting were scams.

Blizzard kept me on hold for 50 minutes, but when they got on they reversed everything and said it was ready to play. They took off all charges and told me how to avoid getting scammed. I guess there are emails going around that look exactly like a blizzard email. I had no clue.

I might log on after installing and say hello to a few people. the only problem is my computer is fucked and won't even turn on. My wifes computer doesn't have the video card in it right now because the fans bearings went out on it and I took it apart to fix it. I don't have a new fan yet so it's just sitting here.

I don't think her crappy computer can even run wow without the video card I bought for it. I could try my computer again, but all it does is keep restarting and beeping at me. It's damn near 7 years old and has had it.

hey man be verrrrry fucking careful of those emails you're getting. i've been getting the same shit from "wowaccountadmin" and "noreply@blizzard.com"
they're just spoofing their email address to be the same as the ones blizzard uses, if you roll your mouse over the links they put in the email it's like "wowbattle-blizzard.com" or some gay shit like that

it's not really blizzard just some nigger trying to get you to go to their site and "sign in" so you end up straight up submitting your acc info to them.

Nope. Not World of Warcraft, not World of Starcraft, not Call of Duty.
The only hints that have been given are that it's a "Futuristic" MMORPG. Completely different engine and everything than WoW.
As Blizzard is the world premiere creator of video games by which all other games are judged... I expect it to be no less than fucking epic.
And it will set the standard for the next generation of MMOs no doubt.
I doubt we'll be seeing it before 2012 though.
