Post in the "Items wanted" section of Craigslist saying you want a half-used or left-over roll of Tyvek, or just some Tyvek scraps from construction.

I bought a left over partial roll for $25 two years ago, and I haven't even used 1/4 of it yet.


....or go to Home Depot and spend - what is it now? $120 for the 8' wide? - on a new roll.

Unfortunately mr dancey pants. I went to Homes Depot, Lowes, Hobby Lobby, All three postoffices and then I was going to go to the officemax/officedepot but I didn't get a chance. There was none....

I got lucky with one post office that had a couple left.

I dont think you looked hard enough...Tyvek is used as house wrap...it goes on under the wall sheathing thats under the siding thats on your house...Its not used on roofs...If you go to depot or lowes or wherever, it will usually be in the building supplies section...

You can buy hard or soft Tyvek, by the yard, at Joggles.com. They are an art supplier. It is about $6 - $9/yd. The hard Tyvek is the type used in envelopes, the soft kind is thinner, and more like fabric. Happy Shrooming! - Ann

Some say it's stealing.......
I get my tyvek from Fed Ex drop boxes. You can make 20 filters from one envelope, so take what you need. There's one outside almost every post office and you can check online for drop box locations. :evil:

search ebay for tyvek ground sheet this is what you get....

can't go wrong here, spend $10-15 bucks and have enough tyvek for a very, very long time.
