tool fans...help me identify a song

someone just bumped that viginti tres thread and it made me think about this one tool song. there aren't very many vocals in it, and it's really creepy, kind of like viginti tres. i remember there was a voice in it though.

somewhere towards the middle/end, someone comes on and says "THHEEEEEEEEE SSYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTEMMMMMM" or something like that with a bunch of steam hisses and valve noises in the background.

actually, i would have sworn that it was in viginti tres, but i just listened to it twice, and that part isn't in there. i also listened to (-)ions and Faaip de Oiad and i can't find it.

anyone know what i'm talking about? this is gonna bug me until i can figure it out lol

same here, i've got live versions and everything. maybe i am confusing it with some other song. it's not disgustipated gonz.

It's 100% viginti tres. I always thought it sounded like "fffrrraaaannncccciiiiiissssssssssssscccooooo" or some shit.

It's Maynard.. but not Tool.

I am surprised it took 9 responses on the Shroomery until I brought around the right answer. But I am an obsessive Maynard fan.. soooo :smilingpuppy:

ok this is fucked up. i did hear it again in that version of viginti tres that kisper posted. thank you!

weird thing is, the version I have of viginti tres is different. it is missing that part, but it is the same length.
