How come we all aren't just growing philosopher's stones????

I just recently learned about sclerotia. For those who don't know, sclerotia is the dense, hardened mass of mycelia that forms from certain species (P. Mexicana and Tampanensis), also called philosopher's stones. It just grows in the jars if you let them sit long enough, and you can trip off of it. The yeild sounds pretty nice and it sounds really, really easy to grow. I'm really interested in this stuff.... anyone know about it?

Yea its easy. But the the stones are 2/3 as potent as cubensis. They aslo take a long time and cubensis dont.

But pins and mature fruits are so beautiful. I wouldn't trade the experience of watching my babies mature for something that looks like a kidney stone I saw come out of a shih tzu.

But I would try them though....without a second thought.
