I wouldn't say I knew the guy that well, but hearing of any loss of life saddens me very much.

I kind of feel horrible now being a member of this drug site when we know people die from them on a fairly regular basis, in situations just like this one. At least he's in a better place.

I echo Shroomism here! I've seen a lot of death, and I've been pretty close several times -- try me on this if you want to -- I feel saddest for his friends and family. However, the Ripman is just fine! He's just in another space, an unknown one, but that's ok... :laugh:

I guess it depends on the individual, but I've never thought too much about it -- it's a journey and exploration -- the only bummer is surviving and spending nine months in a hospital with a lot of hand-wringing friends and family surrounding you... I guess that is selfish, but come on people!

I suggest we have a proper Irish wake for the bloke, and send him out in style -- with much happiness and merriment! Instead of all this remorseful sadness... :frown:

I don?t know why we fear death so much. It is simply the opposite of life -- that is all -- nothing more...

Sorry, my bad... I'm drunk... If this is insensitive, then please forgive me, but I?m just trying to state another point of view... :frown:

My heart and soul goes out to this person I barely know, but it is his friends and family that I know are suffering far more than him, as he?s on his way, and I?m sure he?s ok! :laugh:

I didnt know ripper as well as some. All i remember is that he stood out in IRC as a really good guy who always had something intresting to say and was always fun to talk to. This place won't be the same without him i'm sure. RIP Ripper.

I've spent the past 2 years at least in the chat room talking with ripper. He was a very bright person from what I understood.

Oddly, I'm getting emotional over his death....
