Playstation Network Down! (3/01 Update: Still Down! Even offline mode doesn't work!)

So the Playstation Network has been down all day, but this is a rather weird situation. It's not just the network that's down, the network interrupts your offline games and boots you out of any game you are playing with an error message about trophies not being able to load or something...the only people who aren't experiencing this problem are those who went out and bought that new slim playstation 3 they just released :facepalm:


it sucks not being able to play my ps3 but the chaos going on for sony right now is pretty hilarious, all they are doing is giving twitter updates every few hours and people are FREAKING out all over the internet.

you should see the sony message boards, its a madhouse over there every other post is an angry rant

some people think sony won't be able to fix it and were all going to be stuck with broken ps3s :shrug:

Probably Preparing for the crazy amount of games comin out in march... I cant wait for Bad Company 2 and ps3 hasnt been hacked yet so cheating is at a minimum with online games as opposed to xbox

they know that fat people bought the fat ps3's and needed a break from the couch to avoid lawsuits from fat parents because of all the AAA releases sending their children onto reality tv shows

okay, so it's the next day and my playstation still wont work!

we the players should demand free download content as reparations!

that is if they can even fix this problem

because it was a completely unpredictable software AND network error for the fat playstation 3

in fact, it happened on a day of a big release for a game (heavy rain) and now sony is up to their ears in shit from angry customers

if sony had a solution on the table they would have either fixed it by now or at least told their angry customers when they should expect their expensive consoles to start working again.

in most cases this problem would have already been fixed, thats why its rather unusual and thats why im worried that sony engineers are having serious trouble finding a solution.

its the fact that people spent $60 on the new game, so thats sixty bucks on something that doesn't even work.

let's not forget how much the console cost.

but hey, sony network doesn't charge a monthly subscription fee so at least we can't complain about that :shrug:

PSN works fine for me.  i never had any problems people mentioned yesterday.  I have a 120GB slim though....maybe that matters.

Like I said.... it's not only effecting online game play. If you try and play SINGLE PLAYER it will boot you out of the game and tell you that there is a "trophy error".

I'm not assuming the problem won't be fixed, I am just assuming that it is a possibility.
