Lunch food ideas.

So at my new job I Get an hour lunch, which means I get to come home.


  What are some ideas for good/healthy snack type, quick lunch foods.?

my only conditions are that it be semi-healthy and vegetarian.

A mango, a banana, an orange, some yogurt, some ice.

Keep some almonds in your pocket for nibblin' throughout the day.

I usually keep almonds, raisins, and some
other shit in a bag in my pocket at work.

Every time the bag crinkles, the dogs all rush me :lol:

sandwiches are easy to make and endlessly variable.
- tomato and cheese sandwiches are good.
- any roasted vegetables can be thrown between bread (eggplant, zucchini, bell pepper, etc)
- mushroom and onion sandwiches with some cheese.
mayo and hummus are both awesome flavour enhancers. for some reason i'm not really a fan of butter in sandwiches.
also you can never lose by adding lettuce or any kind of leafy vegetable.

do you eat fish?
tuna salad is good.
egg salad, too.
even if you just slice boiled eggs and put them with other stuff, it's good.

basically, most leftovers are sandwich friendly.

I also enjoy making quesadillas with
hella veggies when I have a long (2+ hour) break.

Not so much that they take long to make,
but I hate going back to work with a cheese
filled tummy.

every week day for lunch I eat a 1 lb package of (thawed) frozen strawberries and a 1 oz package of almonds.
