ID shrooms on Alice in Wonderland poster

I know it ain't really photos of mushrooms, but I can swear there are fly agrics (red and yellow) and P. cubes (bottom right) on this movie poster. I'd like to know, from the experts eyes, are there other mushroom that are *real* on this poster?

amanita muscaria(fly agaric) and amanita pantherina for sure. maybe a couple smaller amanitas? I don't see anything that looks like psilocybe cubensis i wouldnt be suprised if some of them were drawn from the artist's imagination.

What you identify as cubes could also very well be Hypholoma. And regarding the Amanita muscaria... ask any kid to draw a mushroom and they'll draw what resembles a fly agaric. To the majority of the non-mycologically interested public it's synonymous with "mushroom". They are more or less all fantasy mushrooms inspired by real ones.
That said - Alice in Wonderland in 3D: awesomesauce. I'm going to see it for sure.

All the fairy tale/video game/fictional mushroom pics are always closely similar to the amanita muscaria. Even if its not exactly they same you can tell thats what they're getting at because theres always a red cap with white dots, or like a white cap with red dots lol.


Toadstool from Mario is a little amanita :tongue2:

edit: funny how peach is his daughter...shes like, a product of spores! And human.... :eek:

Yeah, her name is Peach Toadstool. Add the princess to it and you have Princess Peach Toadstool.

They never used the full translation in the American/European games. They simply used either Peach or Toadstool interchangeably.

In one of the games she writes a letter to Mario and signs herself off as both. I don't remember which one it was, though. Most likely either SM64, NSMB or SMG.

I think he is talking about the little mushroom man that looks like an Amanita. Toad, or toadstool, whatever the fuck his name is. Am I wrong LaughingMan? Is that who you were talking about is Peaches dad?

I know that Princess Toadstool and Peach are the same person, that was not where I was confused.

Toad is an inhabitant of the Mushroom Kingdom of which Peach is the Princess. He's a servant to her but all of the inhabitants of the land look like that (with varying coloured caps).
