I said I'd go back on it... now I am really upset and I don't want to and I don't know exactly why.

keep in mind there are a lot of very rich people banking off convincing people they're crazy. a pill won't take away life's sadness. with that in mind, decide for yourself whether or not they help you in your life.

They contain flouride like molecules... do they work in the same way that they dumb you down?

Your issue is that your looking to turn to pills for help instead of dealing with shit

You aren't trying to face reality, your trying to run away

Alright, I'm about to rant. This is just my opinion so take it for what its worth, nothing.
I had an experience with Zoloft back in 05. I remember being really torn up over a bunch of shit in my life, mostly a girl, self-issues.
Felt really depressed for a long time, and finally scared myself.
So I get an appointment with Psychiatrist and a Psychologist.
Bam, on Zoloft. I remember at first, I really enjoyed it.
I was happy, actually, it felt like I was high all day, but a real clear high.
So, after about 2 months, I start going back into sadness real bad.
Feel very depressed, bad thoughts, and the worse case of the fuck its.
Decided to stop and had TERRIBLE withdraws from that shit.
Put me on Abilify even worse, never felt so emotionally numb in my life.

Stopped taking anti-depressants/psychotics after visiting this very typical psychiatrist.
Fucking hated him, very uptight psychoanalytical, imagine tweed jacket siting in the chair taking notes.
After a few visits of intense, very uncomfortable appointments of addressing issues I really didn't want to address, life became awesome.
Its been awesome ever since. As much as I hated the psychiatrist, he really did a fantastic job.
Psychologist... not so much. Tried the whole buddy route, he was a good guy, but not good at his job.

A pill won't solve every problems, and yes, sometimes they help, but when a doctor can't explain exactly why a medication works, and when side effects can be suicidal thoughts, I'd rather err on the side of caution, and most certainly always know what the fuck you are putting in your body.

i was on zoloft for a couple years thinking back i was in a kind of zombie state.  once i got off of them i haven't felt that good in a really long time.  if it's anything i need it's anti-anxienty meds.... not anti-depressants

don't do it man it's like the blue matrix pill.......

indeed. these medications are for symptoms not the root. your soul is sick - so heal it.

I've been on Cymbalta for almost a year now. Since then, I've also been on various other booster drugs (anti-psychotics) like depakote and seroquel and abilify. Speaking from experience, psychiatric meds are an absolute last resort.

People think psychiatrists are out to get them. Well, they're not. They're doing what you paid them to do, and if the meds aren't helping then you obviously don't need them. At that point you're supposed to tell the doctor so he/she can taper them off so you don't have withdrawals.

There ARE cases when the condition outweighs the side effects. It's not the doctor's fault if you aren't aware of this. The credo of any psychological medical field is that talking about how you feel is the number 1 tool is healing. In most cases the doctors have no clue how the meds feel mentally, but they know what can cause certain feelings and how to stop them.

Back to the point, SSRIs and the like are not for everyone. I'd probably be dead without them. It's not a magic drug, you have to put in effort to. The anti-psychotics are even less for everyone. They didn't really help in the short term, but I definitely learned a lot of things from being on them. I also got plenty of therapy which is absolutely necessary in 100% of cases.

Caught, thank you. Fluoride in your water is harmless unless you believe in the reptilians. Plus, a molocule that is "similar" could be hydrogen peroxide, vs water. I wouldn't drink the former, with it's totally different properties.

I took shrooms, and it busted through my depression for weeks. I'd say 1 dose a week and I'd be cured, though I heard aya is better for instantly getting rid of it.
Chronic depression, literally all of your sober moments, is hell.

Yeah, SSRI and SNRI withdrawals are the worst...

You get these thing called brain zaps. It's like a small zap inside the base of your head. They're kinda fun for the first time you get them, but then they start happening every 5 seconds and it's like trying to think while being slapped and then forgetting everything you were thinking about. I've met people that stopped their anti-depressants cold turkey and continue to have them even a year later. I've never met a soul that had them if they tapered the drugs off.

That's some of the best advice I've ever seen
