hey hpi, what's your favorite Old Man's Child album?

mine is definitely Born of the Flickering. There is something about the ambiance of that album that is just great. It basically sounds like the album cover, which is an awesome thing for a black metal album imo

but i haven't heard all of the albums... I remember I once had a century media promo mix cd that had a song with really badass production, remembering that has got me wanting to hear more. I'll go back and listen to the songs you posted when I have more time

Early Behemoth was great..

As for Opeth, they're last album was better than the few previous but the early shit like Orchid definitely stands out. I have to agree with a lot of it being formulaic though. Going into a studio and spending only 2 weeks writing doesn't cut it for me, at least the oldest stuff was worked over years. Great live band.

I love all of their albums but I'm gonna have to say my favorite ones are between 'Born of Flickering or I'll Natured Spiritual Vision.

Old mans child is a fucking amazing band! You might not like it when you first listen to them but after listening to them a few times you realize just how bad ass they ass! :rockon:

How can anyone not like this?
