Evolution?

I think there is truth to evolution but it seems really bizarre to think that everything is 100% random and we are all an accident...  true, humans are in no way perfect  but i would think our species would be more glitchy if we were completely random .

other ideas :

The scientific odds of the big bang happening the way it did to create this world are huge

Wouldn't humans still be evolving into another animal? Did all the monkeys stop evolving?



I'm posting this with an open mind.. I don't believe in any christian bullshit or anything personally, but i think there's a good chance of there being some kind of higher energy form even if we can't comprehend it in this world and for those who think there's nothing like that-  have you had high level psychedelic drug experiences?  I don't believe we can say that we know everything...


What's your opinion?  Do you believe Darwin's theory ?  A variation of it?  G-d?    :jesus:?  Marijuana?  :et:?

Evolution is fact. If you think of an alien race looking at us, we might seem quite "glitchy". War, rape, etc. We could say we were lucky in how we evolved, tho I sense dolphins are happier than we are.

Think about Murphy's Law. If it can happen, it will. And that's called a LAW for a reason. It IS FACT. So if the chances are 1 in 400,000,000,000 then its bound to eventually happen.
I believe in evolution. All the other ways I've heard are so stupid sounding. As for creation, thats just so implausible, and  theres no proof...

I think the Two Slit experiment is implausible but it indeed happens as fact on an observable but unexplainable level.

I'm not saying I believe in creation, but I definitely don't believe it didn't happen. The beauty of having an open mind. Such thoughts are best left unchallenged, it's like trying to imagine infinity with a brain such as ours; it has limits to what it can believe.

But the theory of evolution by natural selection doesn't say everything is 100% random.  The mutations are random, but the pressures which select are far from random.  Polar bears didnt randomly evolve to be white, they were selected to be white because of teh pressures from living in a cold environment.  The mutation of an individual is random, but the evolution of a species is not.

Thats not really a meaningful statement.  There is no scientific odds of the big bang happening, such a number cannot be calculated.

Natural selection is always happening, it doesnt stop and no species is immune.  But if the environmental pressures dont change alot new traits wont get slected and a species will stay more or less the same for a long time (see crocodiles).  When the environment changes then new traits get selected and a species will drastically change.

You certainly wont find any biologists or physicists who claim such a thing.  All scientific theories are always tentative because all scientists know we dont know everything.  Believers on the other hand...
