Here is another gem about this guy. My great grandmother was obscenely...abnormally fat...he dumped her for a woman much much fatter. He died from being beaten to death while tied to a lit pot belly stove.

Apparently he was just a bit of an asshole. No one was prosecuted I do not think. My grandmother used to say he would tell a story about shooting a black woman in the head with his service revolver (he was a cop) and would laugh as he recalled that she kept running like a chicken for a moment after her head had been nearly blown off her shoulders. He also had a great sense of humor too I guess.
