yeha that is confusing. shroomgod addresses this at the end of his tek though. pf says to use a piece of pvc pipe and sg uses a section of garden hose. the pipe is straight and wide. the hose is curvy and not as wide. the curvyness causes some of the water to condense and fall back inot the humidifier. the hose also has a rubber texture and is narrower. this allows for less moisture in the air and a lower humidity. sg suggests using hosing for this reason. go w/ his tek.

I do not use shroomgods or pf's tek but the reason for using shroomgods tek is to get constant gas excange. So why would you put a timer on it to limit the gas exchange. I would leave it on 24/7.
p.s. anyone know where I can get a cool mist humidifier? I looked at K-mart and Wal*mart and could not find one without a wick.
