cool mist setup help

I wanted to use a cool mist setup, but have a few question before I start to build one.

1. reading the ShroomGod's Humidifier Tek, it says the humidifier should not have a wick. Is a wick the white filter thing inside the humidifier?

2. I already have a Robtussin cool mist and I think it has a wick, can I just take it out to fit the needs of the tek or will the tek still work fine if I leave the wick in?

3. I think I will be using a 33 gallon container, will the fresh air brought in by the humidifier (left on 24/7) be sufficient enough to push the co2 out the 4 filter disks placed on two sides of the container?

How does it sound? any comments would be greatly appreciated

1. Yes. I think you shouldnt use a wick because they are breeding grounds for mold.. I looked at one in my house that hadnt been used in a year and it had black and white mold all over it.
2. The type of humidifer you want is one that has a rotating disk instead of a fan. I think some of these have wicks for the air going in but not out so the wick doesnt get moist. (Although im not completely sure because my humidifier has no wick)
3. If you're using a cool mist you can leave it on 24/7 and that would be great for air exchange. If you want you can also just put in it on a timer and set for however long it takes to keep it at 95+ humidity (depending on whether you're using cakes or not) Like for instance have it come on for 1 hour every 2 hours.. something like that (again im not sure of times because mines on all the time)

Has any one used a robtussin cool mist humidifier in their setup? Did it work ok?

I use a wick, no problems. i throw in 1/4 cup of h2o2 with 2 galls on water. prevents that problem.
the problem with the wicks is mold growth.
