PC app that tells you BPM of songs?

yeah ive never seen anything like that.

if you want something that shows bitrate then thats different.. i believe mplayer or vlc will show you that. although ive not really looked..

I got one for ya. Its called DJ Mix Plus.

It only works in WinXp (and previous PC versions), so no Vista Version, but the "Copatibility" feature in Vista/Win 7 might make it work.***

*** update: Installed it. Works Flawlessly in Vista, but its pretty basic. I was getting it mixed up with another Dj Program called AtomixMp3 (see below), that looks visually stunning (lots of colors and complex textures), had 2 parallel lines (with audio waveform displayed) side-by-side for mixing tracks. That program you could scratch the tracks and I think it had a auto-beat matcher so you could mix different speed songs easily. I'm looking for it.

Like the name says, its used for Dj'ing, so it detects BMP. You can cross-fade, mix, and cue up tracks, even scratch (scratch that, it doesn't scratch). I used to play with a similar program which was awesome (can't remeber the name) when I was really into songs, but not so much anymore. Be great for parties (I think it has auto-mix).

Its similar to the one I discussed above which I used as a kid, but this one is very basic-looking, and there is no scratching ability. BUT, it can detect BPM in real-time (you can change the tempo on-the-fly). Tip: when you use songs, use .wav types: when I played Mp3's, the program errored. Maybe its just my computer, as I do get A LOT of Firefox crashes and Bluescreen errors. Hopefully you have better sucess with Mp3's but for me, .wav tracks worked *perfectly*.
