I don't see what your place of employment has to do with this, since if you are living in a van and traveling the country, I would assume that you don't have a job.

It's not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be.

I see this girl daily on my run at work, massive dreads... fine as.

After about 2 weeks of running into her at the bus-stop, she pointed at something in the sky.

FUCKING BUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

BLERHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

No thanks, clean yourself up a bit more.

Oh, I didn't know that was part of your job description, you should have mentioned that! :tongue2:

You said you work in transport, and I seriously didn't know WTF that meant.

good luck getting laid by "going back to your place" :lolsy: But really thats the biggest drawback from that...cant think of any girls ive dated whod be down with being with a dude living in a van.

Haha. There are tons, trust me. I've never done it myself but the guys I know who have done these things seem to have no trouble. The lifestyle attracts a beautiful contingent of dreaded out cuties

lol your living on another planet if you think a chick thats not a loser/ meth head/ crackhead would be into having a relationsship with a dude who chooses to live in a van. Would be nice but this aint the 60s.

drugs can be had in every major city, but yeah, po box for those obscure ones is a good idea.  POID, san diego is a very cool spot to hang out.  look into it.

i like the idea of hanging around a city where there are lots of resources to live off with minimal work put into to acquire those resources.

i don't mind shitting in a plastic bag.

i don't get or desire much sexual action anyway, but wouldn't mind hooking a dreaded chick for a van romp.

i don't mind dumpster diving or asking for handouts.  (not that i don't have money to travel.  money is best spent on gas and drugs...food can be found everywhere there are people).

i'm kind of weird by most people's standards and see nothing wrong or even negative in doing this.  there are only pro's in my opinion.  sure, i'll leave some friends and family behind, and i'll miss those people.  but living here, where people expect things from me, is not my game for much longer.  more and more, getting entangled in mobile hyjinx across the USA seems like a great idea.

maybe i should kick this off, when i actually go for it, by going to burning man and then hitting the road.  imagine that.

Even with having the luxury of a bathroom before and after the shift... those 10 hours are absolute hell for someone that goes to the bathroom a lot.

In the forest wouldn't be too bad, at least you could urinate anywhere.

Shitting in a plastic bag crosses the line for me.

Asking for handouts is failure too, I would never want to live my life relying on others.

You don't seem to want any sort of self-sufficient lifestyle, just seems like you want to be a smelly van bum :vaped:

I've actually only driven past it on the freeway on my way to TJ, but yeah, I've always wanted to actually tour the city; I'll definitely look into it! :mexican:

I would just buy a shitload of microwaveable food and MRE's or some shit, I'd much prefer doing that than dumpster diving or asking for handouts.

I would probably just leave my friends/family behind until my food runs out, then I'd make my way back to visit them and refill my food stash.

Yeah I would... but I would have a feeling in the back of mind that I would getting an STD.

When I mentioned bus-stop chick earlier in the thread, hers were VERY VERY thin and long, shitloads of strands.

Big male dreads are disgusting, on either males or females.
