When is it time to lose all faith/good attitudes TOWARDS America?

To me, faith is just an attitude and nothing more, so...

Wouldn't it just be EASIER
to just assume the Government conspires against it's people,
rather than find proof?
Maybe just carry that attitude everywhere,
instead of trying to hold evidence like opinions hold water

Wouldn't a MASS Attitude Change, just for the sake of chaging it be the best possible defense from those who make the laws?

Maybe the path of least resistance is in ourselves...

Yes, and then what would happen in your fantasy world? I'm all for government accountability, counter culture in general, all that good stuff. Nevertheless, killing the politicians will result in a new group of politicians, rulers, whatever you want to call them.

I really enjoy Shroomery and the discussions on here. I just wish some people would address the various issues with a little more reality and a lot less raw emotion.

That said, I don't think the US or any nation is an entity in which one should or should not place faith. Like all institutions on the planet, it is imperfect and flawed. You can either stay here and help effect change or do nothing. Either way, it is not a matter of faith in my view.

I think about America a lot more and it's people a lot more after going to Germany. I'll always feel at home in America, but somehow I feel that "my home" has a bunch of roaches and bad plumbing;

Don't get me wrong, our standard of living is through the roof, but I feel it to be too densely/disproportionatley corupt and full of failure to continue with having good will towards the country.

SO

I think it to be more patriotic at this point to not call it the Greatest Nation, and start talking shit on America.

the founders of America would want you to always be suspicious of its activities and skeptical of its actions. This blindly trust the government shit is a newer thing. Country first my ass.
