Zombie apocalypse

So it's zombie apocalypse. What weapons would you use? You can pick a firearm and a melee bladed weapon.
I'd go with a shotgun, and probably a samurai sword (tho a chainsaw would be awesome).

I would probaly pick a decent reliable hand gun and a fucking sharp machete or sword. A chainsaw would probaly be too heavy to carry around, and because of gun laws in the UK i just wouldn't be abale to fire an automatic machine gun (or whatever) with any kind of accuracy.

two of the most abundant ammunition types on the planet.

Machete, fishin' pole (assuming the animals don't zombify) and a hand-powered siphon.

i'd just want a decently accurate and light .22 rifle.  primarily because it's the most common ammunition, so hopefully it'd be easy to keep loaded.  also, i'd like to fashion on a suppressor and keep a distance from the zombs i pick off.

for my melee weapon, i'd either go with a heavy duty machete, or this motherfucking shovel that looks oddly reminiscent of the Lobo discussed in WWZ.

sharpen all sides of it as much as possible.  it'll swing like a hatchet or thrust stab.  also, it's a fucking lobo.  so yeah.

It would suck if you used a double barreled shotguns. Imagine 5 zombies in close range in a confined space.

i think about this scenario all the god damn time and i think i would do pretty alright. i dont know about the 2 weapon limit though.

the father and daughter had the right idea in 28 days later though.

you could not have possibly picked worse survival weapons.  flame-thrower won't kill the zombies instantly, and the fires it sets will be like a huge beacon to all the zombs in the area.

and a sledge hammer is just stupid.  it's too heavy for being on the run.  you can only get one swing in the time you could get like four with a shortsword.  and you'll be out of breath after 3 swings.  terrible, terrible survival weapons.

I read the Zombie Survival Guide...so I know that loud weapons will only attract more undead to your location like moths to a candle flame! :wink:

So it's a machete for my primary weapon, with a shotgun for backup!

before the infection got too bad i would hit up gun shops, pawn shops, grocery stores/ corner sotres and load up on everything i need. i would then make my way to at least a 5 story building, unload all my supplies, find the perfect room to post up in, and wait everything out.

i could go into much more detail, but i dont feel like spending all day on this.

i would also have an area that lead to the roof where i would have rain traps, gardens, and look outs.

i would also grow large amounts of bud for trading use.

haha... good luck single-handedly clearing out a 5 story apartment building.  that's only like a hundred zombies or so.  in a building without electricity.  in extremely closed quarters.

If you want a challenge buy a pellet gun and a kitchen knife.

thats why i said before the shit gets too bad. its not gonna be fine one moment then the entire world infested the next.

it will be all over the news and internet so im sure i will have time to get my shit ready. would only take one maybe two hours to get supplies.

everything i would need for locking up my area could be found in the building i post up in.

for me, nothing is more fun than roasting a zombie or smashing ones head to mush with a sledge, a sword decapitation is fun too.
