Whats the difference between primordia and hyphal knots?

hyphal knots i think are the fruitbody pre seperating stage. primordia is after teh knot has seperated into a stem body/cap. i think this is correct but open to constructive critiscism :/

Thats the way I thought it always was but someone got technical and confused me. Anyone know the technical definition?

From The Mushroom Cultivator glossary:

hyphal aggregate: a concentration of mycelium; a "knot" in the mycelial network which often differentiates into a primordium.

primordium: (pl. primordia) the first recognizable but undifferentiated mass of hyphae that develops into a mushroom fruitbody. Synonymous with "pinhead".
