Oyster problems ? la MushMushi!
    #1167809 -

Heh... I had problems with straw then with coffee grounds, so this time, I`m attempting to fruit the oyster from the jars.
I have inoculated rye grain and the mycelium grows on the jars sides. I mist everyday and I believe it is humid enough (I don`t have a hygrometer *yet*). It also has light. But still, no primordia...
I hope this is not another failure  :frown:

The bag is in my room (normal light, maybe too close to the window) at 16-18 degrees celsius...

By the way, there is only 3/4 of grain of the total jar capacity.
I would appreciate any advices/hints/bitching/etc

This is p. ostreatus, if I remember correctly?

It's a bit warm, according to Stamets you want 10-15.6c (not sure why you shows the upperside so exact!).

Maybe give 'em a coldshock? As for light, knowing where you live, I'd say the light is fine even by the window. Unless you happen to be getting more direct sun than me right now

You're doing well. You're very close. Don't give up!

Also, don't forget a bit of air exchange....this becomes very important when fruit start forming, otherwise you'll get nasty corel-like fruit.

Well, I have cold shocked it for 20 hours. It is still growing and it smells good. But still no formation of primordia... I guess I should wait hehe
Do you think it could fruit from such a small quantity of grains?

Ohh by the way, the mycelium looks so nice, I have never seen something like that before!
