Try Medeski, Martin and Wood.

They have some fantastic music to chill to w/o lyrics.

I enjoy The Macpodz, although not all of their music is without lyrics.

I know its already been mentioned, but Boards of Canada.

Also;
Aphex Twins
Bonobo
Tycho
Heights Of Abraham
The Album Leaf
Fila Brazilia
Numatic Soul
Velours Perfect
Little People

There are many many bands out there. I would recommend you go check out a radio station; Soma FM They have a great track selection, and would be a good place to start out discovering bands. Might I recommend Groove Salad in their station selection.

Course you can discover alot through Pandora aswell.

try this song, it's about as ambient as i know...

Now I wouldn't say Explosions in the Sky is ambient, but it's definitely music that speaks more than lyrics could.

Lounge as is "At the bar" or "Lounge" as in "relaxed on the couch" ?

The Big Knife, Model Shop.  (Lounge, as in: Martini's and Velour)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4n570_tr3-vsbig-knife-special-edit_music

Jon Hopkins (Lounge as in, sit on your couch waiting for the visuals to kick in)

P.S.  If you like BoC and Ulrich Schnauss, I HIGHLY recommend  Jon Hopkins.
