"Mycobags"
    #1160670 - 12/21/02 03:52 PM (21 years, 3 months ago)

OK I want to know how well these mycobags really work? I have read posts of people having disappointing results with them.PLease if you have had experience with them just post your opinion. They are just sooo fucking expensive, but they might be worth it with the suspicion pressure cooking jars of substrate initiates. Unless there is a pressure canner I could get that I could plug in in my garage.
Also, sorry if this doesn't make sense I'm REALLY high right now and also if this is a stupid question I'm sorry I'm a newb.

On ebay, not too long ago, there was an All American sterilizer (I think that is what its called), it acts like a PC, but you can plug it into an outlet. It was so nice, the thing went for $125, I think.

Use the PF-Tek.  Much easier.  Did that help?

So nobody has had experience with these bags and they are officially pronounced failures?

nah, MycoBags are the shit...all except for the high price...i did 2 of them w/B+  & had great results.  i dont like to birth them IN the bag, but thats my opinion.  so, if ur pressed & cant sterilize or something, get a mycobag WITH the "self healing injector site."  and be sterile...worked for me

Thanks alot for repeating Angry's advice, that helps alot...but if you had read my post you would have known that boiling them has arisen suspiscion that I would like to avoid...hence the whole reason I posted this thread...

To those who can answer competently, what are the difficulties/disadvantages of mycobags?

Here's my mycobag grow log.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Growlog&Number=875136&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
And on that grow log there's a link to another completed grow log. And there are a few more grow logs under the grow log forum. Also, you can find tons of information here.
