In my opinion, and I know this would piss off anyone who has dedicated a lot of time and effort to describing brush strokes and movements, is that art is felt. The appreciation, the liking, and the adoration is an emotional--rather than an intellectual--manifestation.

Following from that, every one has their own unique tastes that should be respected. When I look at Alex Grey's work, tripping or sober, I see that he has the remarkable ability to bring back from the void a little bit of the magic for others to see.

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up.  let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it.  Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left.  I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me.  I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it.  epic win for me, epic fail for you.

ythan, you rock dude.  i feel that my time at the shroomery was very positive and enjoyable, but this site is no longer for me. im not mad or upset or disappointed, i just want no part in a pg rated faggot festival.

I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

And I'll be back there living come December 15th. I can't fucking wait! Haven't nailed down my housing situation yet though. I remember you saying you live on the Inner Harbor? I'm probably looking for some place in Little Italy, Mount Vernon, or Bolton Hill.

Wow, just noticed the poster said the 19th. If I'm not working I'll probably be there.

About Alex Grey:
Visionary artist Alex Grey was first recognized for his ground-breaking "Sacred Mirrors" collection which took 10 years to complete. This collection, featuring a unique series of 21 life sized paintings,” takes the viewer on a journey toward their own divine nature by examining, in detail, the body, mind, and spirit”. It was during this period that he developed his depictions of the human body that "x-ray" the multiple layers of reality, and reveal the interplay of anatomical and spiritual forces. Alex Grey has since received worldwide acclaim. In pop culture his timeless works have appeared in Tool's "10,000 Days", their "Lateralus" album and stage show, The Beastie Boys' "Ill Communication" and Nirvana's "In Utero". Grey's artwork has also appeared on the cover of Sub Rosa, Newsweek, High Times, Shaman's Drum, Shambhala Sun, Juxtapoz, Vision.

Didn't know there were so many baltamorons on here, hehe!

Yeah, shroomism is right, the towns pretty ghetto. Except for like the Inner Harbor and a couple other little sections, it's all ghetto.  :awedrugs:  :crankdre:

That being said, there are some really chill towns in the surrounding county, like Towson, big college town with lots of really hot college chicks!
