I've been thinking a lot about the constucts of humanity that affect us, part of this is me entering the real world...applying for jobs, looking to start a family, saving for a home.
And i have a new outlook, its rather a mix, as a desire it is indeed positive, but when i reflect on history is saddening...
What is property?
Is everything on earth no-ones, someones, or everyones.
Does it belong to god(s), or just a social construct.
We can save and stay out of debt as much as possible. Freehold land. But is it all really worth it?
For most of us, we work for money, how well that covers food, shelter, warmth/cooling, and communications depends on many factors (inflation, depression, redundancy, poor weather for growers... etc) and at times even the highest earners can struggle to cover it all including their stupidly high mortgage payments.
However, it could be taken away from you in an instance of theft, war or law, or maybe for that new motorway, or to remove your eyesore home so that international visitors don't have to look at it when travelling to the new sports facilities.
Even the recluse bushmen and homeless can be evicted from "public domain" if the forceful wish it. Resistance met with punishment.
If anything can be taken from you, was it yours in the first place? My life can just as easily be determined by others.
Property is assertable only by force, the more power one has, the more potential liabilities others have in what they believe their property to be. People can be arses to each other, and you never know when someone may screw you over for greed, envy, lust, sloth, gluttony, pride or to save their own skin. All you can do is Hope to be left alone by the bad men while you try to fulfill your possible attainable desires and a content life.
If things are really going to be changing in the next few years, we all have to deny ownership.
Without the petty desires of property/power we have little reason to steal, we do not need to kill.

Throughout the ages there have been messages, and they seem so obvious to me now.
To name a few:
The Seven Sins (wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony)
Pandoras jar (One in many - Hope)
Nullfying desire.
I don't need a god or any religion to explain this, as they're pretty self explanatory. And its saddening to see how we've ignored them, including those who claim to be proponents of them. 
I'm no christian, buddhist, or anything I can accurately call myself for that matter - the teachings of past hit the nail on the head many times (strewn amongst all the added stories of sorcery, magic, and miracle)
yet i will continue to fit in, get a job, sign on dotted lines, incur a mortgage, make do with the law and put up with which ever government we elect. I find all these useful: supermarkets, clothing, computer, tv, footpaths, road.... etc, etc...
So I Submit. 
Hey its better than living in many places in this world, so i shouldn't complain yeh?
