epiphany...
    #11402070 -

this might sound retarded... but what ever.
today i had an epiphany. "live for the moment." was it.
I've been in a fucked up state of mind for a while now, around a year. being depressed and anxietyish and whatnot... and today it clicked.

stop living for the future. stop living in the past. and just take life day by day. on that days terms. if its a good day than its a good day. if its a shitty day then its a shitty day. no more, no less. i'm trying to share my new outlook with friends and family, but i don't want to make a scene.. since I've been trying to hide this depression from them (it doesn't really work). i'm gonna give it some time.. but not too much ya know?
well, thats all I've got to say. thanks if you care. if not... peace

If you live for the day, then what is tomorrow?

Don't live for the past, I do agree with that. But the past does shape who you are today. But the future is inevitably important. You have to focus on today in order for tomorrow. Focusing on today for today is just an empty endeavor posed as an act of self-righteousness.

that is really the best thing you can do.

i can certainly relate with your feelings of scary anxiety, dark depression, and probably some days that are so good that you feel like you took a hit of some good crack lol. Doc calls it BiPolar i just call it being human.

everyone has their days, some just more than others, some just more random; and the best way to deal with the roller coaster is just copping with it as it comes instead of trying to force the change and trying to jump off the coaster when you are strapped in.
you go with the flow and enjoy it as it comes to the best of your ability, and never let it consume you, as you know tomorrow is a new day and a new light.

good vibes to you :sun:

what is tomorrow? tomorrow is tomorrow dude. maybe it is self righteous. but right now in my life. i have a go nowhere job. i live with my parents. i don't have a steady relationship. i have friends, though not many.. so that being said. today is all i have right now. yes once i get my head more on track tomorrow will be important. but right now, tomorrow is, well tomorrow and i look forward to seeing what will happen then.

I don't know.

I think 'living in the now' is foolish. We are important beings! As humans, we hold a very important niche in both our society and world around us. Thus, we must exercise our right to flourish and thrive, not wait and wither.

Living day by day is aimless. Where's the fortitude of pursuing one's own endeavors? Where's the honor of becoming someone, rather than being someone? What happened to goals and Life's pertaining endeavors?

I could never waste away my days like that. That'd be a waste of Life.

i don't think he is referring to goals or ambitions day by day...
he is referring to the way he tries to cope with his own attitude and therefore the way his motivation for his goals is affected day to day.

living to cope with your outlook on the day allows you to be motivated to work for tomorrow

In school right now for a degree in engineering physics which is the hardest of the streams of engineering. Its up there with aerospace engineering.

Bascally like electronics engineering with a lot of physics work. Im really enjoying it so far but its an asston of work.

Not too sure what i want to  do as a job if i get the degree but i will have options.

living day to day is foolish. i call bullshit. what if you got hit by a bus. or shot. or anything in your sleep, on your way to work or school. then everything that you are working for was/is a waste.

That is highly situational and I could say the same to you.

So, what's your point? And that doesn't prove that living day by day isn't foolish.

That's awesome. My friend is a 4th year mechanical engineer and the shit he has to do is incredible. He's working on a project with a large turbine company (alternative energy wind turbines, fyi) to produce detachable blades that can be easily shipped and reattached. That kind of stuff is so intriguing to me. And if his design gets chosen by the company, it's very likely that that could easily land him a very well-paid job.

Too bad I couldn't handle the Math commitment aspect of an Engineering degree. That's why I stuck with science.

i don't have any goals right now. i'll admit it. i'm just trying to get out of "the shit". for most people its easy. but for some the hole that we dig ourselves can get fuckin deep.. anyways, i'm just letting the world know i'm on my way back up
