Classical Guitar Player Nails

Thought I would ask since I can't seem to find an answer anywhere else... But I play classical guitar and electric jazz bass. I like having long nails to play classical, but they click and clack on my bass which I hate. Does anyone have a solution?

You don't have to have extremely long nails to fingerpick. It's all about the technique, you need to curl your fingers up while you finger pick, I can do it with almost no fingernails.

Don't let your fingernails go past the very tip of your finger, and they shouldn't be a problem while playing bass.
