clusters next to tree

Habitat:
growing in the grass next to tree's. but i did spot other clusters in my neighborhood growing right off of cut down stumps. FL hernando co.

Gills:
the gills are a cream color and are attatched

Stem:
the stem is thick and the same color of the cap

Cap:
thecap is concAved and looks slightly like a chanterrels

Armillaria tabescens. They are parasites feeding from the tree's roots.

They are edible, but they are not choice. Cook them well or they may cause gastric irritations.

I cooked mine,and they were some very delicious lil fungus.I have a whole yard full that I'm about to go harvest!!!
