Clustered mushrooms under white pines in southern NY

A very yellow cluster of Armillaria tabescens, the Ringless Honey mushroom.

I think they more resemble Jack O Lanterns.

These are Jack'O'Lanterns, Armillaria doesn't have decurrent gills.

Agreed. This is a poisonous species but a really cool mushroom nonetheless. Take them in a pitch black room and check for its subtle bioluminescence. Pretty awesome to find a glowing mushroom, I haven't found any in over a year!
