silica packets safe?

Are they safe to just throw a couple of packets in my mason jar with my shrooms after I completely dry them out? Is it bad if the shrooms are touching the packets? I got these from some lugauge I bought. Thanks

yes.. and if its still in the packet, there is nothing to worry about.. if its loose silica, seperate the shrooms from the silica with some cardboard

great place is a shoe store.. just walk in and say "ill give ya 5 bucks for 100 silica gel packets" the salespersons (mostly young kids) will hop to it..

Warning: I have nothing to add.

But I wanted to say that I saw this thread right by the "Safe to eat?" thread. I read them as one and could have sworn the thread was called "Are silica packets safe to eat?"... I was about to cry for the fate of humanity.

But all is well. I still might cry for the fate of humanity. I tend to stumble upon something every few minutes that makes me doubt the future.
