is a silica gel packet safe?

I have a silica gel packet here, it came in a piece of computer equipment I purchased.

I am thinking about dropping it into my bag of recently dried cubenses, in order to assure me that they will stay perfectly dry.

Is this at all necessary, and more importantly, is it safe (for my body)?

they put those packets in food.
just don't use ones that are broken.

Check out your local shoe store for silica gel packs. There is one in every box of shoes and they all get thrown out.
