Safe to eat?
    #11327204 - 10/26/09 09:58 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

If I grew some mushrooms and they had possible cobweb mold then it went away and pins came back. I think it could have just been mycelium but I'm not sure. I've seen posts that have said that it's dangerous but roger rabit has said that cobweb mold is safe to humans. I just want to get a definite answer about whether or not it's safe.

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

Advanced notice: I have nothing to add

I just wanted to say (as I did in the to-be-mentioned thread) that I saw this thread right next to the "silica packets safe?" thread and thought it read "Are silica packets safe to eat?"... I was about to just say screw it and off myself. Glad I didn't act prematurely

Have fun with your shrooms! :mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2:

The Catcher in the Rye is such a good book.

That's funny and interesting... But I don't understand the relevance? Was it meant to be an insult? Maybe I'm just not grasping the finer points of your post.

No matter how hard you work to achieve something in life, somebody's already been there and degraded it somehow?

i look at it as an expression made with a feeling of mediocrity.. thats the feeling i get from him thru the whole book he's like humble or something.. like no matter what u do someone else has already done it and done it better... idk

yeah... super humble. I don't think he ever gets mad or anything. I like how it's still funny even though it was written so long ago. Those are my favorite authors, like Mark Twain. I wish I could find my copy right now so I could find some of my  favorite parts that I wrote in the back.

Heh I think I realized that when I was 13. That no matter what my dreams were, no matter what I aspired to do in life... Someone else had already been there and done that. Sure there are some things that have genuinely not been done, but those are so rare. So to achieve happiness one has to be content with your own personal firsts. You have to be happy with the fact at YOU accomplished something, no matter who did it before you.

I've found it's also important to find satisfaction with the little things. For instance I work at a shitty grocery store as a bagger/cashier. I am the fastest bagger at that place. In fact I am the fastest bagger I've ever seen. Now sure, that's not some great life achievement, but it's something. For now it is an accomplishment.
