Lots of mushie pics from my hike today V.I think I got lucky
    #11283911 -

All of these were found in Redwood National State Park. Ill post all the pictures and mark which ones I think might be good. If theres anything that looks active, edible or interesting let me know and Ill do a proper ID request on them in this thread.

1

Found a ton of these growing on live branches. Starch white with a blueish base

2

Just some random LBMs. I stopped picking them after I saw how abundant they were

3

Hoping these 2 are Cyanescens from what Ive seen?

4

Super Mario Mushroom

5

6

Almost looks like a cubensis?

7

Looked like my hopeful Cyans earlier but I found it separately

8

Not oysters are they?

9

Some more randoms I found growing out of sticks

10

11

Big LBM Patches. Wish these were active

Pluteus sp.
You really need to do a little studying. Psilocybe cyanescens don't have white gills.

You are doing fine! Some awesome mushroom finds there. Keep looking and you'll be rewarded eventually. Here are some very good gill shots of Psilocybe cyanescens by nightflyer for you to remember on your next hunt:

Are there any general tips as to what might be active if I dont have a field guide or cant find it inside it? I tried squeezing the stalks to check for bruising but that was about it.

And before I toss everything confirming nothing active or edible right?

You need to do a lot of research.  None of these mushrooms look like active mushrooms at all.  And the ones you want to be looking for (namely Psilocybe cyanescens) do not grow in that habitat.  They prefer wood chips.

Nice photos though!  Looks like it was an interesting hike.

GK, Pluteus for #3 and #4???

Those are Amanita pachycolea, the Western Grisette.

Are 3 and 4 the same? 4 looked darker and bluer I though. Just younger?

Oops! My bad.
They looked like Pluteus to me at first glance. Never seen an Amanita like that.

Another Amanita species, unsure which one.

When identifying Amanita species, you need to carefully dig up the base of the stem.  It is an important feature for identification.

Yes, we do. But I've seriously never seen this species.

This trail is down the road from me. Is it pretty much a waste of my time and I should stick to the woodchip beds/lawns. Hit the cow pasture 2 days ago and no luck there for Liberty Caps

I wouldn't expect you to, it is a PNW species.  But all the Grisettes look kind of the same.

I think something very close that we have here is Amanita battarae.

Is #10 a Coprinus comatus? or Shaggy Mane?
