Thanks again folks. And Cap'n Max, just so you know ,I'm not a kid.I do have two teenagers of my own, though.If I was a kid I would have probably eaten these by now.But you did bring up a good point as far as the description (adnexed gills and such).It would be a good idea for me to try to get as full a description as possible, especially if some of these other mycologists are going to take a look.
MJ, let me know what you find out, and we'll take it from there.
Just for the record, I have actually chewed on a couple of stems, to see if they had that"taste". They appear to have it, but this in no way proves anything (to me anyway).
Lizard King, there is a chemical that can show activity.MJ, correct me on this if I'm wrong,
but metol (p-Methylaminophenol Sulfate) a chemical used in photography labs will show if a mushroom contains psilocin.The only problem is I haven't been able to obtain any, except for formulas where it was mixed with other chemicals, which will not give the same reaction as pure metol.
Now, I'm gonna go try and find some more of these mushrooms.

Hey Levi7,
If you get any of the metol, be careful handling it, I'm pretty sure it's fairly toxic.It may be able to absorb through your skin(I'm just guessing on this). If you decide to use it,check Mj's site for the proper mix ratio. I think it's 20:1. 20 parts water to 1 part metol.But check with him or his site to be sure.
