3/9 = .33333... 6/9 = .66666... 9/9 = 1?

It does too.
For all intensive purposes.
.999999999999 = 1
say you were doing something with chemistry. Then you can be as precise as your instruments will allow.
But .999999999999999999999999999999 = 1
It's all about the context of where it's applied.
To statistics: = 1 to chemistry/physical sciences =.999999999 = 1 =.99 = 1 =.9 = .9

It has nothing to do with precision of measurements in science. It has to do with definitions/axioms and theorems in mathematics.

0.999... = x 9.999... = 10x 9.999... - 0.999... = 10x - 1x 9 = 9x 1 = x
thus
0.999... = 1

No, 1 is 1. .999999999999999999999 is .99999999999999999999999

Dude,just today i had to solve a problem that involved series of 9 after a comma and they sure as hell weren't the same,it just so happens that it was chemistry related.
Now we're talking about 0.(9) for example then i dunno,maybe there is some axiom somewhere that states it's the same as 1 but i still view it as a distinct mathematical entity.

i wouldn't say .9=1 thats like saying 90=100 i wouldn't say .99=1 thats like saying 99=100
but after maybe .9999999999999=1 i will go for it 99.99999999999=100
be aware that
99x2=198 99x456=45144 100x456=45600 .99x.99=.9801 .99x100=99 1x100=100 .99+1=1.99 1+1=2

Alright guys, .99 repeating DOES equal 1.
If it doesn't, then find a number between .99 repeating and 1.
You can't do it. Therefore, .99 repeating DOES equal 1.
If X doesn't equal Y, then there is a real number Z such that X+Z=Y. X=.99 repeating Y=1 You can't solve for Z. Z doesn't exist. The DIFFERENCE between .99 repeating and 1 DOES NOT EXIST.
When two numbers aren't equal, there are an infinite number of real numbers between them. But you can't even find a single number between .99 repeating and 1.

I disagree; think of a limit. A function may have a valid value for x=0.99 recurring, but not for x=1. Hence, they are not the same.

It's not flawed, everyone just confuses abstract mathematical principals with concrete reality. It bothered me for a long time too.
