FTR, Leary didn't worship 'the devil' neither did Crowley FTM.

These guys were far beyond infantile concepts like 'God' and 'Satan'.

Whatever the source it is either slander or misinterperetation.

Leary was an idiot. He made light of something far too powerful for the masses. His approach to LSD was wreckless and irresponsible.

As far as worshipping satan goes, it's just another point of view that encourages indulgence in every "sin" that god set forth. Satanists see it as spiritual fufilment. Personally I think it's best to live in the middle, worshipping Satan is no more "wrong" then worshipping god. One of the main problems with man is that we think we know the difference between right and wrong, and we really don't. (Ishmael anyone??)

At least believing in some kind of a god is somewhat understandable. Centering your beliefs around rebellion to childhood religious dogma is as lame as it gets.

I was never forced to believe in a God. My Mom encourages it as she's a believer, but I never had to make communion or confirmation. I really feel for those of you that were.
